[node:body] | Det er i stigende grad nødvendigt at lære gennem hele livet, hvis man skal klare sig i samfundet, fordi vilkår og kompetencekrav hele tiden ændrer sig. På godt og ondt indebærer det krav om personlig udvikling og ændring af identitet. Hvis den enkelte skal håndtere de udfordringer og dilemmaer, som det bringer med sig, så har man brug for hjælp. Derfor er der i stigende grad brug for et forskelligartet og livslangt vejledningstilbud, som ikke kun handler om uddannelse og arbejde, men også om 'livsvejledning'. Der er mange forskellige mennesker, der har brug for andet og mere end en folder eller en konsulentsamtale for at finde deres egen vej og ståsteder i uddannelse, arbejdslivet og samfundet. Det gælder eksempelvis en stor gruppe af kortuddannede, der har negative skoleerfaringer, og derfor helst undgår videreuddannelse selv om de godt ved, at det er nødvendigt for, at de kan klare sig på arbejdsmarkedet. Det gælder også de 20 % af Danmarks unge, der aldrig får en uddannelse. Årsagerne er forskellige, nogle har sociale og/eller boglige problemer, andre er psykisk, sårbare, forvirrede eller har urealistiske drømme. Både de unge uden uddannelse og de kortudannede med skoleskræk er stærkt repræsenteret på daghøjskolerne. Kendetegnende for begge grupper er et stort behov for en helhedsorienteret afklaring og vejledning - behov som daghøjskolernes undervisningsbaserede vejledning er designet til at tage vare på. Når man går på daghøjskole er man på vej et andet sted hen. Her findes der inspirationsmateriale om vejledning, som er resultater af praktisk udviklingsarbejde, som Daghøjskoleforeningen har været involveret i. |
